Coquitlam

Coquitlam is in the Tri-Cities area along with Port Coquitlam and Port Moody, it is situated between Burnaby (West) & Port Coquitlam (East) and between New Westminster (South) & the Coast Mountains (North). Coquitlam is mainly a residential municipality with many single family homes and recently developed townhouses dominating the landscape. Located just 15 km away is Vancouver and many of Coquitlam's residents make the short daily commute to and from work.

With the sky rocketing housing prices in Vancouver many new families and young couples have made Coquitlam their home. With many top rated elementary and secondary schools as well as over 80 municipal parks and nature filled areas it is an ideal place for young families. As well Coquitlam is home to one of the regions more affluent neighborhoods, 'Westwood Plateau'. Sitting at the highest point of Coquitlam Westwood Plateau offers spectacular views and larger property sizes, it also has one of British Columbia's top rated golf courses, Westwood Plateau Golf & Country Club. Recreation is a big part of the lives of the residents of Coquitlam and there are numerous sports fields and recreational facilities to satisfy their needs, including swimming pools, ice rinks, baseball & football fields, and soccer & cricket pitches.
