Maple Ridge

Maple Ridge with its beautiful countryside and spectacular mountain scenery offers rural living mixed with steady urban growth. Located 45 km from Vancouver, Maple Ridge sits between Golden Ears Park (North) & the Fraser River (South) and between Pitt Meadows (West) & Mission (East). Over the past 10 years Maple Ridge has seen a huge increase in population with new subdivisions and communities being constructed throughout the area. Even though the population has risen, Maple Ridge struggled to attract commercial and industrial investment to the area. Over 60% of the residents have to commute to other suburbs or to Vancouver for work, making rush hour a bit of a nightmare.

Maple Ridge is an outdoors enthusiasts dream, with plenty of hiking and biking trails in the UBC Research Forest, plenty of great golf courses, numerous horse trails and ranches for horse back riding (Maple Ridge is the horse riding capital of B.C.), a beautiful swimming and picnicking area along the shores of Kanaka Regional Park, and the crown jewel of the area, Golden Ears Park. One of the largest and most popular parks in the province, Golden Ears Park is named after its two distinct mountain peaks and offers the regions best hiking, mountain climbing, boating, and camping. As well as having great outdoor activities year round Maple Ridge is also home to a state of the art recreational and youth facility located downtown and there are also numerous theatres, galleries, and museums to enjoy.
